City may ban cell towers in residential neighborhoods

Cell phone towers and large antennae in residential neighborhoods are not a pretty sight. So Portland City Commissioner Randy Leonard is drafting a plan that would allow new towers or large antennae only in commercially zoned areas. Commissioner Nick Fish would limit them to commercial areas or transportation arteries.
